Swirly Pumpkin

It might be August, but Halloween doesn't exactly wait for October.

So I'm starting to drop a few of my Halloween designs early, because three weeks of spooky-season content need a little preparation.

This little Swirly Pumpkin is one of the first to arrive.

A bright orange pumpkin, still attached to its green stem and leaves, with a carved face that sits somewhere between a mischievous grin and a tiny bit of spooky.

The finished Swirly Pumpkin makes the first impression. Then the artwork goes back to its watercolor roots before returning to the final Swirly design, where the pumpkin gets its characteristic flowing lines and a completely different personality.

Not every Halloween design needs to be dark or terrifying, even if I like a bit of it….

Sometimes a little grin, some autumn color and a hint of spooky is enough.

And yes… this pumpkin is already getting ready for October.

Too cute to be scary.
