Swrly Skull
This is my Swirly Skull, one of my more popular Designs, and a piece I keep coming back to when Halloween season approaches.
It started as a hand-drawn Skull, transformed with shapes and swirls and brought it to life with vibrant watercolor, rich, luminous colors that give the skull an almost surreal energy.
Then the same skull takes a completely different direction: first as grey version, followed by a black vector grunge style interpretation.
Three versions. One skull. Three completely different moods.
And that’s what I love about illustration — sometimes changing nothing but the color, texture and technique can completely change the personality of a design.
